Realizing that no trace of her inner self exists in her outer life, a young woman searches for a place that might reflect her internal world: an underwater city she vaguely remembers from childhood. Though she reaches it, she finds the ruined city just as desolate as her external reality. Confronted with the fact that her own neglect caused the decay of what was once a sanctuary, she is forced to take responsibility for the person she is and the person she must become. My World Belongs To Me is a dreamlike memoir that explores the desire to live as one's true self, the challenges we face as we try to do so, and the unseen forces conspiring to help us integrate all that we are without fear.

Each page was painted by hand using liquid watercolor concentrate, pen and gouache. This is the first book in a four-part series.
